A jewel, so it had to be pink and gold. Coral at the face warming to pink across the flange, with a floral pattern laid over the whole head so light and quiet that it reads as texture until you get close. Then the gold on the dots, the weights and the stamping, because a jewel needs its setting.
Coral to pink across the head, running face to flange, with a pale floral pattern over all of it that sits just under the surface of the colour. The three back dots, the sole weights, the stamping and the sightline are picked out in gold, so every point your eye lands on when you set up is a warm one. It is the softest finish on the shelf and also the most detailed.
Every coat went on by hand, over a head stripped and prepped first, then sealed under a tour-grade clear coat. Hand-applied colour is why it looks like this, and it is also why it cannot be made twice. There is one, and this is it.
Underneath is the Super Select Newport 2 Plus, the wider-flanged take on the Newport 2 blade. It is milled in the USA from 303 stainless with a dual-milled solid face, no insert, over a 6061 aircraft-grade aluminium sole plate, which moves weight out to the perimeter for a higher MOI while keeping the tour blade profile at address. An I-beam plumbing neck gives mid toe flow, for a slightly arcing stroke, and the customisable stainless sole weights set the balance.
Nothing that matters to the putt was touched. The face milling and the markings that identify the club are exactly as Cameron made them, so what arrives is an art piece you can put straight in the bag.
